Greece
Sailing & Yoga Excursion
October 12 - 19, 2024
CULTURE IMMERSION,
PLAY in NATURE,
& YOGA
Enjoy the perfect balance of conscious yogic travel with adventure and authentic cultural experiences. We’ve mindfully designed an all-inclusive voyage that allows you to detach from the world, harmonize with the serenity of the deep blue sea, and immerse yourself in the timeless simplicity of the Greek way of life.
Our journey begins in Athens, Greece where the weather will determine our route to the Cyclades or Saronic Islands. As we literally go with the flow of nature every day, our Greek guides will uncover secluded havens, tranquil beaches, and breathtaking landscapes for our daily yoga classes.
While we navigate the pristine Greek islands, relax on board or learn how to sail! At each mooring we will immerse ourselves in diverse land and sea activities, delight in the flavors of the region’s exquisite local cuisine, and forge connections with like-minded individuals.
We look forward to embarking on this journey of a lifetime with you!

Jyoti
The Sailing Experience
Life Aboard a Sailboat
During our retreat we journey to 3-4 exquisite Greek islands. Most days, we'll moor in marinas, with one or two nights spent offshore in secluded coves. Each day, we sail for a few hours between locations. Morning or evening yoga classes are held on scenic beaches, docks, churchyards, ruins, etc. depending on the location. Between yoga and sailing, we’ll explore idyllic spots for swimming and sea adventures, hike through breathtaking countryside and quaint white-washed villages. Regardless of where the winds guide us, every day promises spectacular experiences and unforgettable memories! Your adventure awaits!
Sample Day
Rise to a delicious organic breakfast onboard. Following breakfast, we'll set sail for Sifnos island and anchor in the serene Kamares Port. The scenic backdrop of hills and crystalline waters adds to the port's allure, making it an ideal starting point to explore the beauty of Sifnos. The afternoon invites you to enjoy sea activities and discover the charms of the bay. As the sun lowers, we’ll hike to a picturesque outdoor setting for a rejuvenating sunset yoga session. Next, we’ll enjoy a leisurely dinner with warm company at a carefully selected seaside restaurant. Back onboard your sailboat, gaze up at the Milky way as you wind down to the soothing sounds of the ocean.
What is a Flotilla
The sailboats will journey as a flotilla, a collection of small ships sailing in unison. We sail alongside the other boats in our flotilla and convene for yoga sessions, excursions, and meals as a united gathering.
Captains
Our highly experienced captains skillfully navigate all waters and weather and ensure our sailboat's secure docking in any marina. Seasoned sailors and locals to the region, they know all the special spots to visit on the islands and can uncover hidden gems regardless of where the winds guide us. They possess fervor for the educational journey that water provides, valuing safe sailing and seamless voyages, and are always happy to share their sailing wisdom with interested students.
Hosts
They will expertly craft your meals, oversee boat keeping, and readily assist you. Our hosts are dedicated to enriching your voyage, alleviating any worries, and realizing your every desire. They are committed to pampering you, tending to your needs, and ensuring that Greece bestows upon you the most exceptional experience of a lifetime.
Yoga and Activities
Yoga classes taught by Jyoti vary in style between Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin to complement our daily activities. Our intention is to allow your yoga practice to become an immersive experience, and eventually one that you can take off the mat and bring into the world. Hence, each class takes place at a different scenic location.
(We provide yoga mats, blocks and straps.)

Yoga and all activities are always optional.
Sea activities include stand up paddle board excursions, snorkeling expeditions and subwing. Hikes are for beginner to intermediate level.

Is Sailing Experience Required? No prior sailing experience is required. Our sailboats are all helmed by skilled, seasoned, and well-trained captains. Moreover, our crew members are well-versed in sailing, and they are always available to assist the captains when needed. While having prior sailing experience is not a prerequisite, it can certainly enhance your enjoyment of life on board a sailboat.
-
Is it Possible to Learn to Sail?Certainly! We offer sailing lessons upon request during the trip. These courses provide you with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to embark on the art of sailing. While mastery requires time and dedication, our lessons offer a great starting point for those eager to explore the world of sailing.
-
How Does the Weather Affect Our Itinerary?Sailing is inherently susceptible to the influence of weather conditions. In the rare case of very strong winds (>26knots) it may become necessary to modify our itinerary or be moored in an island for more days than scheduled. Just as we practice mental and physical agility on the yoga mat, we remain vigilant and agile while sailing by keeping a close eye on weather forecasts and adapting our destinations accordingly. Fortunately, Greece's geographical diversity offers an abundance of breathtaking sailing options, even when faced with strong winds. Whatever the case, we guarantee that alternative plans will meet the requirements and quality of services as promised. It's worth noting that strong winds are infrequent during the months of May, June, until mid-July, as well as in September and October, which are the primary sailing months.
-
What About Motion Sickness? While motion sickness can affect a few individuals, particularly in the presence of significant waves, rest assured that our sailing areas typically offer calm waters with minimal swells. For those who may be prone to motion sickness, we provide various remedies to alleviate symptoms. These include offering a comfortable lying position, ginger tablets, and the unique opportunity to take control of the boat under the captain's supervision. This latter option is akin to the sensation when someone feels car sick as a passenger but suddenly finds relief when they take the wheel. Additionally, we've thoughtfully planned our routes to ensure that the majority of distances between islands are relatively short. As a result, you'll find that most of your time will be spent either offshore or moored in marinas.

What is the Cancellation Policy?.. CANCELLATION POLICY The Participant’s retainer payment of $1000 serves to reserve the Participant’s space in the Retreat and is thus nonrefundable and not transferable in case of cancellation. The Participant understands that cancelling their reservation damages the Retreat Host as the Retreat Host relies on the Participant’s reservation to make other business and scheduling decisions, including booking services from third parties and turning away other potential attendees. If the Participant notifies the Retreat Host of their intent not to attend the Retreat more than 60 days before the Retreat start date, the Participant agrees to pay the Retreat Host the greater of 50% of the Retreat Price or the $1000 nonrefundable retainer. If the Participant chooses to leave the Retreat before Services are complete or notifies the Retreat Host of their intent to cancel this Agreement with less than 60 days notice before the Retreat begins, the Participant agrees to pay the Retreat Price in full. Cancellation on short notice makes it unlikely that the Retreat Host will be able to rebook the Participant’s spot on the Retreat and recover expenses already made to Retreat vendors and partners, and as such the Participant’s payments will serve as liquidated damages. Finally, the Participant understands that the Retreat Host must book a certain number of participants in order to provide Services under this Agreement and that a variety of factors impact the Retreat Host’s ability to implement planned Services. Thus, the Retreat Host is entitled to cancel this Agreement at any time and for any reason. If the Retreat Host chooses to cancel the Retreat under this provision, the Participant will be entitled to a full refund of the Retreat Price, only. The Participant will not be entitled to damages for travel expenses or other costs incurred to attend the Retreat in case of a Retreat Host-initiated cancellation.
